Eligible West Elm items are able to be returned within 30 days of receipt. If you received the item from a wedding registry, you’ll have 90 days from the date of the event or purchase (whichever is later) to return it.

Items that aren't eligible for return are:

• Final sale items (with prices ending in $.97 or $.99)

• Monogrammed items

• Made-to-Order (MTO) items

• Robin mattresses and foundations

• Gift cards

• Items damaged through normal wear and tear

Can I return online purchases to a store?

You're able to return most non-furniture items to your local West Elm store for free. West Elm Outlet items are only able to be returned to a West Elm Outlet.

Mattresses and other furniture items are returned through an online process. West Elm offers an online form that asks you questions about your order and provides you with a shipping label.

Once you have a shipping label, pack your item(s) in the original manufacturer's box and use sufficient packing to prevent damage in transit. Depending on the reason for return, you may be responsible for return shipping costs ($6.50 for small packages and $13.25 for large items).

How long does a refund take?

West Elm doesn't mention a specific amount of time it takes for refunds to be processed. However, the industry standard is 7-10 business days. Reach out to West Elm's customer support for an exact amount of time.

If you return your item with an original receipt, the refund will be processed back to the original method of payment. Returns made with a gift receipt will be refunded in store merchandise credit.

Is my entire purchase price refunded?

The entire purchase price of the mattress or other West Elm items is returned in full. However, the fee you paid for delivery and White Glove Service cannot be refunded.
